1. Introduction
At Sunridge Canvas, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with our photography services and products. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds and cancellations. By booking our services or purchasing our products, you agree to this Refund Policy.
2. Photography Session Bookings
2.1 Booking Deposits
To secure a photography session, a non-refundable booking deposit is required. The booking deposit amounts are as follows:
- Portrait Sessions: 25% of the total session fee
- Event Photography: 30% of the total event coverage fee
- Commercial Photography: 40% of the total project fee
- Wedding Photography: 30% of the total package price
The booking deposit serves to reserve your date and time and is applied toward the total cost of your photography service.
2.2 Cancellation by Client
Cancellation policies for photography sessions are as follows:
- More than 30 days before the session: Full refund of any payments made, excluding the non-refundable booking deposit.
- 15-30 days before the session: 50% refund of any payments made beyond the booking deposit.
- Less than 15 days before the session: No refund will be provided for any payments made.
For wedding photography bookings, the following specific cancellation policy applies:
- More than 90 days before the wedding: Full refund of any payments made, excluding the non-refundable booking deposit.
- 60-90 days before the wedding: 50% refund of any payments made beyond the booking deposit.
- Less than 60 days before the wedding: No refund will be provided for any payments made.
2.3 Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances may require you to reschedule your session:
- More than 14 days before the session: You may reschedule once at no additional cost, subject to our availability.
- 7-14 days before the session: Rescheduling is subject to a fee of 10% of the total session price.
- Less than 7 days before the session: Rescheduling is subject to a fee of 25% of the total session price.
For wedding photography, rescheduling must be requested at least 60 days before the event date to avoid additional fees. Rescheduling is subject to our availability.
2.4 Cancellation by Sunridge Canvas
In the rare event that Sunridge Canvas must cancel a scheduled session due to illness, emergency, or other circumstances beyond our control:
- We will make every effort to provide as much notice as possible and offer rescheduling options.
- If rescheduling is not possible or desired, a full refund of all payments, including the booking deposit, will be provided.
- For wedding photography, we maintain relationships with other professional photographers who may be available as replacements in emergency situations.
3. Digital Products and Downloads
For digital products and downloads available on our website:
- Due to the nature of digital products, all sales of digital downloads (including presets, tutorials, and digital art) are final and non-refundable once the download link has been provided.
- If you have not downloaded the product and experience technical issues preventing access, please contact us within 7 days of purchase for assistance.
- If a digital product is found to be defective or not as described, please contact us within 7 days of purchase with details of the issue for a replacement or refund consideration.
4. Physical Products
4.1 Prints and Photo Products
For physical photography products such as prints, albums, and frames:
- If you receive a damaged or defective product, please notify us within 7 days of receipt with photographs of the damage.
- For custom-created products (such as photo albums or framed prints), we will show you proofs for approval before production. Once approved for production, these items cannot be refunded unless they arrive damaged.
- Standard prints may be returned within 14 days if you are not satisfied with the quality, provided they are returned in their original packaging and undamaged.
4.2 Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (such as sending a damaged or incorrect item).
4.3 Return Process
To initiate a return:
- Contact us at info@sunridgecanvas.com with your order number and reason for return.
- Once approved, carefully package the item to prevent damage during transit.
- Ship the item to the address provided in the return authorization.
- Upon receipt and inspection of the returned item, we will process your refund or replacement.
5. Photography Quality and Satisfaction
5.1 Style and Artistic Interpretation
Photography is an art form that involves creative interpretation. By booking our services, you acknowledge that you have reviewed our portfolio and are familiar with our style. Refunds will not be provided based on stylistic preferences or artistic differences after the session has been completed.
5.2 Quality Guarantee
We are committed to delivering high-quality professional photography services:
- If you believe the technical quality of your photographs falls significantly below professional standards, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your gallery.
- We will review your concerns and, if warranted, offer solutions that may include partial refunds, re-shoots (when possible), or additional editing.
- Assessments of quality will be based on objective technical standards rather than subjective stylistic preferences.
6. Weather Considerations
For outdoor photography sessions:
- We monitor weather conditions and will contact you if severe weather is forecasted for your session date.
- If it's necessary to reschedule due to weather, no rescheduling fee will be charged.
- The decision to reschedule due to weather is at our professional discretion, based on factors including lighting conditions, safety, and the feasibility of capturing quality images.
- Light rain or overcast conditions may not warrant rescheduling and can sometimes create unique and beautiful photographic opportunities.
7. Payment Plans
For clients utilizing our payment plans:
- If you have established a payment plan for your photography services, cancellation will not absolve the responsibility for payments due as outlined in your contract.
- In the event of cancellation, the amount refunded (if any) will be calculated based on the total package price and the cancellation timeline, not on the amount paid to date.
- Any outstanding balance after appropriate refund calculations must be paid according to the terms of your contract.
8. Gift Certificates
For photography gift certificates:
- Gift certificates are non-refundable but may be transferred to another recipient with written notice to us.
- Gift certificates are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise specified.
- Expired gift certificates may be extended for a fee of 10% of the original certificate value, at our discretion.
9. Special Circumstances
We understand that life can be unpredictable. In cases of serious illness, family emergency, or other extraordinary circumstances, we may make exceptions to our standard refund policy. Such exceptions are made at our sole discretion and may require documentation.
10. Refund Processing
When a refund is approved:
- Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original purchase when possible.
- Refunds typically take 5-10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
- For credit card payments, refunds may take up to one billing cycle to appear on your statement.
11. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. It is your responsibility to review this Refund Policy periodically for changes. Your continued use of our services following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
